Moving in 2 weeks...please pray for us!

Well, our deadline to be out of this house is in 2 weeks, June 1st. Unfortunatly, we didn’t get the townhouse we had hoped for. We recently applied for an apartment that will be good for us financially. But I’m getting nervous. I’m scared that we won’t get this place either. We make more than enough between the two of us to pay for the place, but I’m still scared. I don’t want to be homeless. This place was our last resort, since we were rejected from the others we applied for. I think it’s my stupid landlord. He’s mad that we are moving and doesn’t understand how we can’t afford the place, since we pay our rent on time. I’ve explained to him that we are going into debt by paying our rent on time, but his six figure income mind just doesn’t seem to get it. He’s given us more than one bad reference.

Please pray for us. We really need it. This place will help us so much to start paying off our debts (we’ll be paying $275/m each instead of $500).

You’ve got it! I hope that everything falls right into place for you and I’ll pray too that your current landlord will open his heart to understanding. (It’s a pain for him to find a new tenant and he’s probably struggling to pay the mortgage which your rent has been paying, so I suspect that this makes it difficult for him to have empathy for your situation.)

I hope God goes before you, opening every door and smoothing the way.

Keep hoping and praying! Never give up. Wow, DH and I thought our landlord is a jerk. (he doesn’t do things we ask, like properly install the screen door or make the other tenants stop smoking) At least our rent is only $350/month including water.

Who, me? It’s a lot more affordable when DH has income…he’s making progress though, thank God. According to friends in the area, it’s higher than other apartments.

Thanks guys. I know it’s not mortgages he’s worried about. He own 5 houses that he rents out to people. All of them are paid off, or so he told me anyway.

I live in Canada so I don’t know what rent is like in the states. But what we are paying now is very expensive. The townhouse we thought we had was a 3 floor, 3 bedroom, full finished basement and backyard and it costs the same per month as our small 2 bedroom basement.

Haven’t received any calls back yet…I hope to hear from them by tomorrow.

Your in my prayers Sarc. Don’t worry Christ will do for you what is needed. I lost my job recently and I trust in the Lord to provide what I need. Not what I want but what I need. Your prayers will be answered, if not come on down to Yakima we will rent you a room in our house!

$1300/2 bedroom apartment. 850sq feet. It’s not amazing or very nice, either.

In Kansas we will probably pay $950/2 bedroom apartment, more like 1200 sq feet.

No utilities included.
 
My! I’m moving to Canada. A 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath - 1,200 sq foot house here would rent between $700 and $1000 per month - depending on the location/school district.
 
Well we got the apartment!!! Thank you for all your prayers!!

Now, we have 4 days to pack and move…:eek: …it’s a bit overwhelming. We move in on the 29th but only have 4 hours to move everything in. I’m sooo nervous we won’t have everything packed in time because we both work (DH is full time, I’m almost full time). The only time we have off to move is the 29th. Aye, this is gonna be one stressfull 4 days!!!
