Mt. Carmel Scapular

My brother passed away in the hospital on Easter Sunday. He received the Last Rites on Good Friday and was wearing a Mt. Carmel Scapular.

His body is slated for cremation. Should the Scapular remain on his person or be returned to his family?

His body shouldn’t need it now he has passed although it would be nice for him to continue wearing it.

I would like to be buried wearing mine.
