Music suggestions

[angell1]

do any of you like christian contemporary music?

are there any artists you guys like?

looking for recommendations to expand my play list

for catholic ones, i know audrey assad and matt maher, david haas (well not sure he counts in this genre)

others i know are casting crowns, michael w. smith, chris tomlin, matt redmond, twila paris, third day, hillsong

suggestions would be great.

and ifyou don’t like this kind, other suggestions are welcome as well. i also enjoy classical music and sacred repertoir, as well as other types, some rock, country, folk, celtic as long as it’s sacred or religious. i have enough secular, no shortage there

just no rap please

oh and one more thing, are they any ccm artists you guys would advise avoiding due to doctrinal issues? most of what 've heard so far seems ok but i’m sure there are some problematic ones out there

You might want to try John Michael Talbot as a Catholic artist

I was going to post a thread like this thanks Angell. I’ll certainly check out your recommendations.

I’m looking to start a music collection. However all the music I have is depressing pop music. I need something uplifting.

I love the song and skit Everything by Lifehouse so that can give you guys an Idea of what I would like.

Also my favourite Church hymn is As I kneel before You.

other suggestions are welcome as well. as long as it’s sacred or religious.

I guess I have some I can recommend then

Schola Grégorienne De L’Université De Strasbourg ~ My favorite Latin Mass Chanting CD! U can sample some of their songs on Amazon.

The Cathedral Singers ~ Sacred Music; They have other albums as well, and u can sample some of their songs on Amazon.

Libera ~ These boys are awesome! They have angelic like voices! My favorite songs from them are Songs of Life, Eternal Light, Adore Te, Sanctus, etc… but they have a lot of great, warming and uplifting songs that really raise the spirits to God! Definitely check them out! U can sample a lot of their songs on Amazon.

God bless!

Also OP, I don’t know if u noticed, but there are 3 sticky threads at the top of the Popular Media sub-forum about Catholic music!

It might be worthwhile to check them out!
