Hello everybody, i am new to this forum and i am sorry that i dont know much about forums. the topic i would like to share is music especially ‘rock’ music. somebody may please help me in this.

I love rock. What do you want to know/share? Let’s get this discussion started.

My favorite classic rock bands are:
The Grateful Dead
The Band
Pink Floyd

Those are my top three but there are so many good ones.

As a sidenote, not to flame, but it is greatly appreciated when you use proper punctuation and capitalization, it makes your posts easier to read. Thanks a ton.

Is Santana rock? They are good (at least all the old albums we have on records are good!

Carlos Santana’s an extremely talented guitarist! :cool: He’s did some awesome work with Michelle Branch and Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas.

I like your list! Tell me, have you heard of Critical Mass or Backyard Galaxy? So far, I’m the only one I know of, and I’d really like other opinions on them. I think that Critical Mass does a killer “Wayward Son.”

Sorry, but I haven’t heard their music. But I was browsing Rock for Life’s (www.rockforlife.org) web site earlier today and saw Critical Mass listed as a pro-life band. 🙂

I noticed New Found Glory in the pro-abortion list… :banghead: So I have taken them off my list of favorite music artists. Such a shame, they were so talented… 😦

The Carlos Santana of the late 90’s is a far cry from the Santana of the late 60’s.

I would say that Santana is my all time favorite band/artist of all time followed closely by SRV & BOSTON.

Ooh, I typically love classic rock. My favorite of those bands are probably Derek and the Dominos and the Jimi Hendrix Experience (stick Cream in there as a close third). Otherwise, I’m a fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan, as well as one of heyphillip’s favorites, Iron Maiden.

Oh, and recently I’ve been getting into the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Excellent stuff!

I was wearing my Demon Hunter tshirt when meeting my Archbishop (Burke) and he made a comment about my shirt. He didn’t look at me quite right since. Unfortunantly he has a great memory.
