I heard again today from a Catholic source that a phenomenon is happening where “many” Muslims are having dreams of Jesus and converting to Christianity. I think I’ve heard this three or four times now, over the last few years, from various sources. As wonderful as it sounds (to me, a Christian!) I take it with a grain of salt as I don’t know who, if anyone, can actually verify this is happening on the kind of scale the sources sometimes imply.
Maybe there’s no one here who can answer this. If it is true, it is truly a miraculous thing. I’d like to believe it 🙂

You’ll have to cite the source.

I have heard such news from various sources but have met only one convert. His family did not convert with him and his story reminds me of today’s reading from Job. With this kind of faith while fully within Islam his vision of Christ was truly miraculous.
Remember, also, The Moors and real history rather than hollywood El Cid moments. Lies and false conversion are acceptable in perhaps the majority of Muslim sects. This is because these are recommended practices in dealing with infidels. Mohammed what great guy, he lied to get elected.

I have personally met and known a Muslim converted to Catholicism because of vision. He came from a very strong traditional Muslim family. If you meet this person, all that we often hear about how strict and strong Muslims are against apostasy, everything in it seemed to be equally applied him.

Long story short, he converted because the vision (of the Blessed Mother) was so strong he couldn’t deny it.

He mentioned that there are two types of Muslims converting to Christianity. Those who convert to Protestantism are usually convinced by the words of the Bible, while those to Catholics usually have spiritual experiences, like dreams and visions.

To him, his experience of the Virgin Mary, seemed to convince him a lot, as Muslims also have high regard for her.

Today, he is going around witnessing to his fellow Muslims who have the same problem - want to convert but having problems from their families and communities.

I can testify to this. I’m an irreligious person from a Muslim background who starting to find atheism/ agnosticism a dead end. I have a longing for something greater. Catholicism may be the answer I’m looking for but I am far from sure. I don’t know how to explain it to my family. My family would never hurt me or anything but I don’t want to lose them to any face in front of other Muslims or it might hurt their feelings. Atheism or agnosticism doesn’t really require me to do anything since it can be hidden under being a lapsed Muslim. So converting to a religion is a different matter.

Keep going on brother. Be brave no matter where you are led by God.

Suffice it to say that this does indeed happen and it’s a beautiful miracle to behold. Praised be Jesus and Mary.

It is not unheard of for a person to introduce themselves in the French language forums as a Muslim who is interested in Christianity.
