Maybe I’m out of touch but I was stunned the other day when an art teacher (grades 1-4) told me how terms used for homosexuals are used constantly by her class as slurs. Never heard of that when I was in school. My hunch is it is a reaction to this agenda being forced upon kids.

Actually, no, it’s kids being cruel. It doesn’t stop at fourth grade either, sadly.
 
WOW! And to think they are quite possibly doing that behind the parent’s backs. That is just plain scary. That second video was over the top. Encouraging the kids to get into a discussion of whether or not gays should be allowed to get married??? Good grief, lets just throw all the other controversial topics at those poor children and let them discuss them as well. What happened to age appropiate?

One thing that amazes me (and really says a lot) is the fact that for years now there have been kids who really did and do have 2 moms and 2 dads. What happened to step parents? It really says a lot that they are making such a big deal out of this issue when many kids have had more than one mom or dad for years.

I’d like to now how they explain about the dad in the homosexual circumstances. Women do not get pregnant by themselves after all.

Yeah…kids are mean. That’s a given. The point is now they are using “gay” and other terms for homosexuals to be mean with. When I was in school the subject of homosexuality didn’t come up. I think we are seeing a reaction to it being pushed on kids. They got it from somewhere.

It’s not like it’s a recent development. ‘Sodomite’ and ‘buggerer’ aren’t terms used out of love. First-graders aren’t generally experienced enough to know what words like ‘******’ really mean – it’s a cultural impression left on them by older people, that that word is legitimate invective. The children aren’t reacting to an agenda; they’re just following up to their parents’ and society’s views on homosexuality. The same children wouldn’t have thought twice about using racial slurs back before the civil rights movement.

Did you ever hear or say ‘pansy’ when you were in school? That’s another one.

edit: uh, those auto-filtered asterisks spell out a six-letter word also used for a bundle of sticks. Hope that clears it up.

I heard the slurs when I was in school and that was before the agenda was “being forced” upon our kids. There needs to be a voice in the middle ground so let me be it. I consider the behavior unhealthy but I would also consider it disastrous to believe that every child who harbors homosexual feelings can magically change so respect must be fostered for them as well. It’s a very delicate balance.
 
Sounds more to me like they’re teaching compassion and acceptance.

Although - I don’t think it’s an appropriate topic for grade schoolers. 5th grade is even pushing it.

I do understand their attempt to explain what it is. The school I take my daughter too regularly goes over what is acceptable/unacceptable to say to other people. (They appear to focus on what bullying is to help prevent it.)

Even though I have no problem with someone who chooses to be gay, my daughter has more important things to worry about at that age.

Those terms were used when I was in grade school in the 1980s. It’s nothing new. I don’t think it’s a reaction to any agenda being pushed on kids. I don’t remember homosexuality being addressed in school until I was in middle school.

I heard the slurs when I was in grade school in the 70s, certainly before any agenda was being pushed on our kids.
 
The video is no longer available on You tube, but clips can be viewed at the copyright owner’s site womedia.org/. I’m afraid this is only the beginning and, unfortunately, old news.

The second clip is still available on YouTube. I copied the first one but won’t post it. It probably comes with the Women Media presentation which are older tapes that have been available for awhile.

From the blog it sounds like there were complains made against posting Part I on YouTube. If you want to see Part I, I might be able to email it.
 
Please disregard last post. I thought that part II was still on You Tube but that also was taken off as far I can tell and replaced with two homosexual friendly badly made videos which have the same name so it confuses everyone.

Both of the original have been taken off and they were excellent videos. I can’t believe with all the videos on YouTube that these videos are that important to take off.

It was probably because of complaints from the homosexual lobby. Unbelieveable.

I made a copy of both videos that were originally put on YouTube so if anyone wants to see them, email me and I will email them to you.
 
I wish they had left this video on YouTube for more than one day so we could see how many viewed it.

Cambridge is one of the most liberal communities in the country. After Massachusetts sanctioned gay marriage, the first gay couples to get married had it done in Cambridge. This documentary is one of the most blatent propaganda pieces that I’ve seen. It’s unconscionable that children were the target of their brainwashing agenda.
 
Why is it these schools are taking a day or week to discuss verbal assault on specifically “homosexuality”??

What about verbal assaults like calling someone fat, or four eyes or abuse by the bully in the class or other verbal abuses.

I see no need to have a specific day or week for “homosexuality”. This alone shows there is a pro-gay agenda in our schools. Also no way would I want this taught before 7th grade and topics like this should not be taught in the schools but leave it up to the parents at home.
By the way the pro-gay lobby is promoting “Hate Crime” legislation which would send people to jail for verbally saying anything against “homosexuality”. In Canada, this legislation has sent Catholic Priests to jail for teaching what the Bible says about “homosexuality”. Now they are trying to Ban Bibles. Be careful, this will all soon be coming to America!

Yes, I agree that it probably wasn’t the best thought-out argument. Even if everyone did turn gay, the human race could continue through fertility treatments such as IVF and artificial insemination. I guess it’s just trying to point out how homosexuality goes against natural law.

However, the video was very disturbing.
