Here’s my very 1st Catholic song. There’s always been a lot of religious themes in my music through the years but this is the 1st one I’ve written since deciding to convert to Catholicism. It’s rock and roll in a Pink Floyd kinda way style-wise.

Here’s the link. It’s an MP3 and I hope folks will share their thoughts, please.

Thanks:)

I thinkt it’s awsome! If you redo it, make the words a little clearer and better able to hear them… the guitars were a litle overpowering. Other than that, I enjoyed it. The words were very good too!

I am a C C R and ZZ TOP fan, but I liked your song. A little “mellow” is sometimes good. Had a good story line and a smooth beat to follow. 👍

VERY cool! Good tune and lyrics. I’ve been listening to music that is a little less “heavy” sounding lately, but your song takes me back to a lot of what I listened to in the late 80’s/90’s. I think Gomer Tree also had a song. Maybe the musicians should get together and compile a CA greatest hits album. 😃

I think kramerbaby is looking for an “Unplugged” version. 😛 Actually, that would fit my current listening habits too.

Are you doing all the instruments? Or are you just the stick man?

Keep it up and keep us posted!

John

I am not a music buff, so i don’t really know what “unplugged” is. IS it when you unplug the Electric guitars and play acoustic? I am confused. I am a huge classic rock fan, but when the instruments are soo over powering that I can hardly understand the words, I turn it off. Stickman’s wasn’t that bad, though. I could understand most of it. (though I wasn’t paying complete attention… )

Thanks to you, John and everyone else who’s listened and taken the time to let me know what they think.

I am playing all the instruments, singing all the vocals, did all the engineering and mastering. Which means if no one ever likes it I have no one else to blame:)

I could probably work up an unplugged version. Might be a good exercise and produce a better product, instead of just a different one.

Thanks to everyone for listening and responding.

GBU!

Unplugged is generally, drums, acoustic guitar and I’ve seen a bass guitar before (which, okay, is technically plugged in). Most of the time the tune gets slowed down a bit and is “lighter”. There are some really nice acoustic versions of songs out there. I like some of them better than the originals, but then I play acoustic guitar (although not as well as I want yet).

Thanks. Words and “story” excellent. But since it is such an important song - enunciate the words a little better. Cut volume on guitars a bit when you are singing, please. Thanks:clapping: :dancing: :tiphat:
