Hi y’all!
I’m married (outside of the Church) to an Anglican from Canada, and I’m currently in the process of coming back into the Faith after a long absence (of heart - not physically).
Anyhow, one of the things I’ve started doing in my family was to renew our daily prayer life. I’ve gotten into the routine now of saying bedtime prayers with my youngest son. Usually, he and I say them together in bed, with my husband nearby, tho my husband has never joined us. Well, tonight, as we begun, my little one turned to him and said, “Come on, Daddy!” My husband proceeded to say the "Our Father, " “Hail Mary” “Glory Be” and our Guardian Angel prayer, without skipping a beat or hesitating on the words!
One of my hopes is that someday, his faith can grow with ours. He hasn’t been to an Anglican service in years, but he does attend Mass with us every once in a while (his work schedule makes it so that he can’t always do that). He knows how important my Catholic faith is, understands it to a certain extent, and is respectful of it. When I have seen him pray at Mass, I could tell he does have a deep spiritual life, though he doesn’t excercise it often. He even hasn’t ruled out the possibility of converting to Catholicism, but I feel that he would do it only to appease me, and that’s not what I want.
Anyways, I just thought it was a little glimmer of hope that his faith will start to grow.
Blessings,
