I am getting very exhausted by my bank’s continued support of Gay Pride Month. I’m ready to make a move to another bank, yet it seem like most of them are on the Gay Pride band wagon. Is anyone aware of a bank (and wealth management firm) that’s respectful of Catholic/Christian values, has good online banking tools, and good financial advisors?

You do see the irony of asking if a bank is moral right?

While I’d love to answer your question it’s one you shouldn’t ask.

Try smaller local banks, they typically don’t have the time or inclination to bother with such foolishness. I’d certainly take my business elsewhere if I were you.

All banks are interested in any customers that have money, regardless of what the sexual practices of those customers are. The money all spends the same to them.

My own own, rather large, bank has never told me what their views are on sexuality and I’ve never asked them. Maybe your bank got the idea in your profile that you are actively involved in homosexuality and are just seeking to pander to you? Sometimes the computer profiles they compile are all wrong, FB’s profile of me is wrong

Your church, or one in the area, may have its own credit union. Having said that, a lot of businesses support the pride and dignity of various groups of employees and I see nothing wrong with that.

That’s it right there.

The bank knows that a certain percentage of its customers are LGBT and it values there business.

You wouldn’t expect a bank or a business of any kind to say they don’t agree with LGBT and don’t want their patronage.

Not relate to this, but ditch the bank.

Find a Credit Union. They are more ethical, offer better rates and keep money in the community.

No, I did not ask that. I’m looking to move on because of the specific issue of excessive “gay pride” endorsements. (TD Bank, Chase Bank, Morgan Stanley). I’m not questioning the moral right or wrong of “banks”. (or at least I don’t think I am).

I’m just looking to see if there were others who have experiences the same and were able to successfully find alternatives. I agree the smaller, local banks are good options, but usually their technology and online tools are lacking.

Yeah…but this “pride” is at the expense of creating hostility towards Christians.

I would suggest doing everything in cash and/or becoming a hermit.

Corporations are in business to make money. They must feel that the LGBT community is a good source of money. I suspect they also advertise to old retirees, young families, and lots of other groups that will provide them with money.

Try to ditch the word “bank” and go for a credit union.

These people have been abused for a really long time. If you feel hostility that’s a personal problem. This is a PR wave to make LGBT community feel welcome. It’s a phase and it will pass.

Be no different if they had nerd appriection month. I’d be insulted to be pandered too but I wouldn’t give it much thought.

The banks also think they have a good idea which of its customers are homosexuals or gay-friendly based upon their online profiles. I’m sure that PNC Bank is as gay friendly as any other, but they never put it in my face as it isn’t my profile to them.

Is being a practicing nerd sinful? False dichotomy.

We’re talking about a bank that endorses the Pride month and all that it entails, which is part of saying in secular society that there’s nothing wrong with being gay and acting on those impulses. So yeah I’d say OP’s decision to try and avoid helping enrich a company with his business that endorses the depravity that surrounds these pride events has a lot to do with sin.

Wells Fargo provided over $50 million across the country for LGBTQ pride festivials in many cities last year.

So what?

If you had to stop dealing with people who support stuff like this you’d have to get rid of your phone, internet, cable, computer, car, job, everything. You’d have to go live in a cave somewhere.

I don’t think that’s true. I’m already seeing some solutions on this thread. I want the market to see a significant benefit to not promoting values that are hostile to Christians (I’m going to move A LOT of money). If more people take steps like this, they might want to re-consider the costs of over-emphasizing their giddiness over the LGBT movement.
