Hi all,

My sister has been married to a retired officer in the Navy for almost 20 years. She took care of two boys while he was on overseas deployments during all of this time till they were grown despite her illness. It was quite a trial over the years. Despite this, and catching him a few times calling dial-up sex lines, she thought the marriage was ok till she caught him having an affair.

Despite this she did not want a divorce, but he eventually left her and moved in with his Mistress. They have been going back and forth ever since with separation agreement battles, hateful threats on his part, and more.

She can’t hold down a job due to her illness and wont send her any money though he makes a ton of it. He lives the high life, and cashed in their retirement savings, spending it all. He is abusive to her and manipulative. He still makes a good living working for a defense contractor.

My mother sends her money, but is on a fixed income and in ill health. I don’t have a nickel to spare. My nephews have had very little in the way of a role model these past several years and I worry for them and my sister.

Please pray for my Sister and my nephews.
Thanks.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*

Dear Lord, have mercy on this bi-polar woman. St. Dymphna, pray for her. Dear Lord, please have mercy on her nephews. May God stabilize their family. And many their father change his ways and support his wife and and sons.

Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal esieffe’s Sister. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into esieffe’s Sister’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon esieffe’s Sister in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

A Prayer for Family

Heavenly Father, Please shine your light upon this family. Give them strength to overcome all of the difficulties that they are dealing with now and protect them against any and all problems they may encounter in the future. O Lord, please bring them together as they are meant to be. May the love that binds them only grow stronger as they fulfill the destiny you have laid out for them.

Grant this family forgiveness for any sins they have committed. May we also forgive one another Lord, as it is sometimes difficult to do.

Bless us Lord, In your name we pray, Amen

I am so sorry for your sister and your family…this is a very sad situation. I just prayed for you all. I know that our Lord cares for your sister more than anyone can (although it’s always hard for us to understand) My love and prayers, mlz

I can relate to your situation. My sister is going through a divorce after about 20 years. There are struggles to say the least. Child support is not coming in and there are two children. There was manipulation and an affair, and I have similar concerns about a role model.

At this point, your time, patience, compassion, and love may be more precious than money.

That said, there are aid programs for single mothers. Perhaps you can assist with that?

Thanks for your response. I have begged her for years to attend support groups of various kinds and she won’t do it. I think she is paralyzed with fear. She has joined some online groups, but it isn’t the same thing.

I really appreciate all of your prayers a great deal. Thank you.
