Well, I just got married and am very happy. One of my bridesmaids was my husband’s cousin who I am very close to and has been very supportive of our relationship. She has three children and literally has been through hell. We have been trying to bring her closer to the Church (frankly any church at this point) to no avail. Her last boyfriend is now in jail for molesting her four year old daughter. Her youngest son has dwarfism and was the product of rape. Her oldest son is 13 and his father who she was married to put a gun to her head and is obviously no longer involved. Her children see us as aunt and uncle. She is in a pretty stable relationship relatively speaking - the kids love him and respect him and there has been talk of marriage. We feel this would be a good thing. After her last pregnancy she was diagnosed with a condition that does not allow her body to absorb iron and she suffers from a type of genetic anemia that can sometimes be life threatening. She was told that any future preganancy could kill her. She told me last night she is seven weeks pregnant. Her boyfriend and her are talking about marriage. I am praying for her. I am also worried. She chose life without a second thought. It makes me wonder why it is so hard for others to do the same.

God bless,

Many prayers and hugs for your cousin.

Has she sought out LPA for her son with dwarfism?

Congratulations on your recent wedding!

And 👍 for your cousin. Will keep her and her kids in my prayers.

I know she has gotten some outside help from some organizations - what is LPA? Also, thanks for not being too harsh or judgemental to her living situation. Sometimes the only way someone knows how to start living is what they experienced around them and believe me it wasn’t pretty - and although none of us would say it is perfect it has improved ALOT. Thanks all.
God bless,

God bless her for choosing life - and I’m sure He will. I’ll be praying for her.

God bless us all,

Ruthie

God bless you for asking prayers for your husband’s cousin.
I ask Jesus to take particular care of her and her needs, and that He will bless her future, and her life…and all your family
