My Faith gets re-assured everyday!

Isn’t God wonderful? I have converted to Catholiicism realizing it is the true Church of God. I was burdened with the question that “God is the Rock of the Church and not Peter” (I am not taking away God’s supreme authority over the church). So what did I do, I looked to the scripture. And sure enough God reassures me of my Faith. It says in Eph. 2:19-20*** “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, 20built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.” ***It says clearly that the church was built on the Apostles and God. And through study it shows that Peter (Petra, meaning “Rock”) Is the chief among the Apostles and the Foundation of the Church here on Earth and Jesus is the Absolute overseer and is above the Apostles and Peter as the Cornerstone. GOD NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME IN CONFIRMING THE TRUTH! Praise be to God!

I also struggled with the “Church is superior” teaching. Now I know that it is superior because it teaches directly from the scriptures, but God reveals much of his wisdom by the teaching of the Church as it says here "Although I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. 10His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. There are some things that are unsearchable to us, but God gave that responsibility to the Church to explain to us WOW God is amazing!

I agree with you that truly God is amazing! Just look at all the blessings that God is giving us every day most specially in the Eucharist in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Often times we forget that everyday there is a Mass that is being celebrated and what an opportunity for us to obtain the precious gift of our Lord. God bless. Live Jesus in our hearts.

Yes, God is amazing! And did you happen to notice that St. Paul says that the Church, as “the pillar and foundation of the truth”, not only reveals God’s wisdom to human beings but also to “the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms” - that is, even the angels and Saints are learning about God from the Church! Of course, they’re much faster learners than us.
