Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Second Sunday of Advent supersedes it, though), and I just wanted to post something a bit personal. I reverted on this day four years ago, and I recently found out that Saint Josephine Bakhita, who I refer to as “one of my mothers” professed her final vows on this feast.
Though this isn’t her feast day, I can’t help but think, because of a previous “encounter” I had with her (her holy card somehow ended up in my mother’s car several years back), that she had something to do with my reversion. So today, even though the Feast of the Immaculate Conception has been pushed back to tomorrow, I’m celebrating one of my spiritual mothers today.![Slightly smiling face  🙂](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png)
