Last Monday I served my first traditional Latin mass. I was a little nervous going into it right off the bat but I enjoyed it. I served my second one today and much like the first time you go to a TLM you really have no idea what to do and maybe turned off from going it is certainly worth going a second time because I felt a lot more confident about what I was doing. Thankfully I live close to the church about 15 minutes away so I can pretty much go daily. My favorite part about serving is definitely the prayers at the foot of the altar and the confiteor it really emphasizes the fact that we can not worthy to serve and we ask for God’s mercy so that we may be made worthy. If you can serve I would encourage anyone who attends traditional Latin mass to serve because it is honestly one of the greatest things you can do for God and if you can’t than serve at your novus ordo church.
Introibo ad altar dei ad deum qui eatificat juventutem meam

Love those prayers too. Truly humbling prayers and I was amazed when read them first time. And how relevant today w world being more secular. How did you learn them? Any tips on learning Latin or the missal? I still get lost and have been going for months

It helps to learn Latin I take it at my school so getting lost is not the problem .
I know right the judica me judge me o God and distuigsh my cause from the nation that is not holy.
How beautiful a prayer to pray for the priest I was nervous but also so humbled to be kneeling in front of the king of the universe saying how no worthy I am to serve at his altar. I think we should bring these back because they are so beautiful and so humbling and it really sets a tone I find in the novus ordo when I serve I am almost rushing but at the Latin mass I take it much slower and really get to appreciate it.

In terms of tips just learn the words and what they mean verbs are a nightmare the noun declensions are easier so learn the declensions and the nouns and if you like it move on to adjectives and then tackle the verbs.

Also pratice I kept on saying the confietor at home and managed to get that down it helps if you know the Latin if you don’t that’s ok too just know what it means
