My friend John who attempted suicide

Hello,

I’m asking for a two-part prayer for my friend, John P., an athiest who has struggled with horrible depression for years.

A couple of weeks ago, he attempted suicide but thankfully survived. This incident caused ill physical health and has unfortunately increased his lack of faith in God.

So, here it goes-please pray for him that he will be open to allowing God in his life and that he will be able to overcome his depression and regain his health.

Please also pray for his wife and children.

Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Praying for John … :signofcross: Jesus, speak to John and grant him ears to hear … Jesus, we pray that you offer comfort and healing to John’s hert and soul … comfort his family and give them peace :crossrc:
 
Heavenly Father, please flood Your merciful love into John’s life.
Please grant him faith in You, and help him to to overcome his depression and regain his health.
Please also flood Your graces into the lives of his wife and children.

I ask this in Jesus’ name.
 
Father, please help us to help John and
people like him who suffer with depression.
Open his heart and mind and show him that
the depression he feels is due to the lack
of having you inside his heart. Guide
him to follow you in all things. Hold up
his family and friends so that they can
lead him to you.
AMEN
 
Dear Lord, please whisper into John’s ears how much You love him, and will always be there for him. Help him to regain his health and find hope in You. In Jesus name we pray.
