My I confess in another parish?

HI,
I have a question. I have committed sin for which I am not very proud ( to say the least) and I don’t feel quite comfortable confessing it to our parish priest. Is it possible to go to another (catholic) church and confess it (so that I can take the Eurachist in my church). It kind of seems like “cheating”, but if it is possible, I would prefer that, what do you think?
 
Dear t,

You are not obliged to confess to any particular priest. If you feel better about going to Confession in another parish, it is perfectly alright.

By the way, we RECIEVE Holy Communion. It is given. We don’t take it.
