this thread could of been put a few places in this forum, but I thought it best be placed here.
saturday night while I was working my second job. my wife and a friend of mine from my special ed days had gone to Mass to here my motherinlaw play the organ, because she was getting back in to that then a little later had dinner with her at a local ethnic(Lithuanian) hall.after the dinner my moterinlaw was heading home at rest her sore arthritic feet before going to bring some newly knitted stuff to her grandchildren. my wife and friend were heading to the store for a few things, both were heading in the same direction for a few blocks. my wife a block behind her mother, when she caught up with her mother, her mother’s car was in a snow bank with her slumped beside the steeringwheel, right infront of one of the rawdiest bars in town. my wife ran in got someone to call police and fire, while 4 guys and a young lady came out got her out of the car and the lady who was a nurse did cpr on her. the fire rescue tookover after they got there, none of it worked. tomorrow we are burying her.
Ofcourse we and friends are all praying for the respose of her soul and are all sill shocked because she was only 74. But Im also working on getting intentions for those good samaritans who helped. Remember this is a rawdy bar. in the last several years there have bee
a couple of murders there. These people though and reacted quick, the nurse lady started cpr very quick, and the rest of the patrons at the bar respected her dignity! In a place where dignity usually takes a back seat. Let all who read this not only pray for my motherinlaw alond with the family because that is much appreciated, but also for the 5 who tried and the rest of who was there that night, in thaksgiving for trying, and that they may recieve a blessing that help eath of their individual needs. Even though I didnt get to meet them, but Ill never forget them, neither should any of the rest of my family. Thankyou for listening!
Ps had she driven another 100 yards she would been right in front of the house she was born in.
RIP Barbara A. Gedris 1930-2005.

Condolences to you and your family - you’ll will be in my prayers.

It is very encouraging to here that there are good Samaritans in the world, may God Bless them.

Thankyou. she is being buried today. right beside her husband and very near her parents. one example of true family values all of us can learn from.
