Quick question; how do you get to the youth group? Does someone drive you there? Because if they do, you can see if they can also drive you to Mass if you explain the situation.
Well, last Sunday was my first time attending mass, with faith and dignity, for over a decade…and, that same day I was invited to attend Youth Group (YG), after mass. Anyway, I got to that parish, by getting a ride from my step-father.
And, I’ll see if one of my fellows from YG can give me a ride. I suspect that I might live too far for any them to give me a ride.
Lol…my mom’s always taught me to be humble and to not go asking for things… That’s why I feel a bit awkward about inquiring about getting a ride. But, I’ll do it anyway. Anything to get me to mass.

I see you’re willing to walk to Mass (been there, 1 to 4 miles often, back in the day); there is a parish about 1.25 miles SW of that place, called St. Pius X (
stpiustenth.org/).
As a returning Catholic, you should know that every parish is different these days, so I have no idea whether the people and liturgy you’ll find there will be appealing, but even if it isn’t, don’t be discouraged. The Mass is our greatest treasure, it’s literally the representation of Christ’s Sacrifice on the Cross, offered to the Father for His Glory for our sins, so don’t let anything keep you away if you can make it. If you can’t, as said before, you are dispensed from the obligation, but I hope this option makes it possible for you to go.
I’m considering attending St. Pius X. But, the parish I’m attracted to attending is the
Queen of Peace I like how diverse the laity is there.
And, it’s the church my mother used to attend weekly before she got into Pentecostalism, and before we moved to a different part of town.
In addition, attending Youth Group there was a great experience…on the second thought, I think that walking there would be totally worth it.
And, I’ve heard rumors that the only reason St. Pius X is still a working parish is because the majority of its laity are Northern Mexicans and other variants of Latin America; well, in fact, if it weren’t for Latin American immigration into Colorado, the Catholic church wouldn’t be have as strong of a presence here, I think.
