I hope you all can, as St. Benedict counseled, “pray and work” so that I can be salt and light to my neighborhood. Lots of people with various utilities turned off; ex-drunk drivers who have to walk to get groceries at the convenience store; homeless lady who compulsively walks everywhere and stops by for snacks; lots of crime and petty theft; couple of registered sex offenders; most with holes in their education; lots of kids, some with health or behavior issues; lots of drugs; but a core of character and kindness. Could use a grant and a Catholic moral presence so less cultic christianity, small “c.” Thanks for any prayers and inspiration and please pray that I can say solvent and safe. Blessings!
