Hello all, my sister has a home computer in my nephew’s room. Now all of these nephews and neices of mine were raised very religious and I care for their happiness etc as if they were my own. My sister has told me that she has been worried because another nephew of ours also comes over once in a while (they are all cousins) and they go straight to the computer. Now, yesterday as I was visiting my sister, I wanted to check my email, but I could not sign on. Anyway, I went to control panel, and did a history check: lo and behold!!! it said that last week someone had been viewing adult websites. I was saddened and prayed that it was not my dear nephew who had even been an altar boy for a while. Well, I saddly told my sister to come over to the room, that I needed to show her something I found on their computer. She did, and I told her that their was what there was, and it was viewed last week. She asked, then did further search, and she SAW for herself. She called my brother-in-law over (her husband) and we all were there dismayed in semi -shock. We tried to figure out who was there last week, and besides another visiting nephew, only their son would have used that computer. I left it at that but fulfilled my obligation of telling my sister etc. They would have never known, as per they hardly go to the computer.
Now, this was on my mind al night and I was wondering if I did the right thing by telling my sister, as per I did not want to get my nephew in trouble. I tried to think WHY??? Is it peer presure, why?
My sister has asked me not to tell our mom (the nephew’s grandma) as per she would go berserk in sadness.
What happened to the innocense of these nephew’s and neices of mine??? It seems the other day they were born. I love my family much as worry for these nephews and neices the oldest of which are both 18.
Any advice here? Did I do the right thing by telling my sister? I wonder and worry. maybe I am just a worrier.
