My Parish Deacon is

the best thing you can say about our deacon is his determination to serve god and the church, he has battled cancer twice, 1 heart attack, poor circulation and now cant kneel, also has problems breathing, but he still manages his position as prison chaplain and the chaplain for 1 of the local hospitals, his devotion to the church is inspiring

My parish deacon is a nice guy. I frequently meet with him to discuss the social & moral issues facing the world today. After these talks, I feel refreshed and deeply enriched.

My Diocese has one permanent Deacon… Yet he’s never given a homily or have I heard him speak much… but he serves our Bishop, who is traditional, so I would go with traditional
