My realtor gave me a St Joesph statue!

After 3 months my home has not sold and had very little interest. I asked my realtor if she knew where to get a St. Joesph home sellers kit and she ordered me one. I said the prayer that it came with and will do for 9 days as it says.We placed in in our view as to remember it. I will not bury it. I just don’t see the reason behind that.

As I said in another thread I know it is Gods will and he is in charge but we asked St. Joesph for his help too!

Please pray for us as this is a difficult time for us.

There’s nothing wrong with praying to St. Joseph to sell your home. In fact, he’s just the right Saint to pray to! The 9-day prayer that you have is called a novena, which is a very traditional and orthodox method of asking for a Saint’s intercession. You’ve done well not to bury the statue. That element is nothing but superstition. And as to God’s will vs. Joseph’s–there’s no such thing! As St. Joseph is in Heaven, his will is the same as the Father’s. But it may be that God does will it, but not until you ask some of your friends in Heaven to come with you before Him to ask for it. So pray with confidence!

Please, don’t bury St Joseph… in your prayers tonight ask for his intercession to help sell the house if you wish… but don’t turn an intercessory prayer into a superstition… so don’t bury poor St Joseph…

As I said in another thread on this subject, I would never bury the statue. I just don’t see the reasoning behind doing that.

Maybe if any of you have sold your home by burying him can explain it we can all understand . Or if any of you have sold your home by not burying him and just having the statue in your home will come forward it would help me also.

I have asked St. Josesph for help for a several weeks now. I have faith.

Our realtor prayed a novena to St. Joseph. Not only did our house sell much faster than we thought it would, we got pretty close to our asking price. It never hurts to have a Catholic realtor!
