Ok. I began a novena to St. Therese on Mar. 19. I was praying for her help with several things…my husband’s faith, other problems I’ve been having, and help with a financial situation that was causing me great stress (i didn’t ask for money, btw, just for “help with my financial situation” and I was going to accept whatever help that was). The novena ended on the 27th and I had still been stressing about everything…until this weekend. As far as my husband’s faith, he went with me to the Living Stations of the Cross Friday and actually told me he enjoyed it, he even cried during the nailing of Jesus to the cross and the rest of it after that. He also is beginning to understand the Eucharist as well. As far as the money situation goes, I wasn’t even thinking about my novena that I had done but today, my dad came in and gave me my birthday card (my birthday is Thursday) with some money in it, and my husband told me I could keep all of it (he normally wants me to give it to him for the “general fund”). And what did the card have on it…ROSES!!!

And to think…I didn’t even attribute it to the fact I had said a novena to St. Therese at first…that actually didn’t hit me until I was sitting in my office reading some of my work for my masters classes and I happened to glance up at the card.

I just wanted to share that with you all!!

Good! I pray that God continues to shower his blessings on you!🙂

I once asked St. Therese for a rose to help me in my vocational discernment. I asked for a white rose if I was called to religious life, and a red rose if I was called to married life. For my high school graduation, I received a rose.

It was pink.

I still don’t know what my vocation is, but I took that as God’s way of telling me that I wasn’t supposed to know at that time.

Just keep praying and I know you’ll be led in the right direction!

I’ll be praying for you too!

St. Theresa is my wife’s favorite saint. She’s received so many roses from her, that she doesn’t bother asking for them any more.

Myself, I don’t let Theresa off the hook so easily. When I ask for a rose, I want it to be a live rose, in a place that I shouldn’t see one.
We receive too many religious cards and such with roses on them, that it would be too coincidental.

So, I’ve received a real live rose, while out walking on my lunch break, in late March. I live in Massachusetts, roses don’t bloom normally in March. I’ve received roses while out hiking in the woods, where only one wild rose is growing.
So, despite my tough requirements, St. Theresa, always comes through. The best part is, so does the answer to my prayer.🙂

i thought that u had to receive a live rose from someone or somewhere and not just see it someplace???

Keep praying and discerning - you’ll find out soon enough.

No, the rose will come to you in various forms and from various sources. When it’s your rose, you’ll know it because you’ll receive a confirmation from within, at that very moment.

i ask this becos i had posted out here once before about this… i remember that i was doing the 5 day novena for st therese and on the 5th day, i got a borthday present from my friend… my birthday was long over-about a week ago and this package had roses on it!!!

i still have the package with me… i was asking for my marriage to be reconciled but i am now in the final stages of the divorce… so i dont know what it all means… i did remember thinking what a coincidence… and wondering if it was my rose… 😦

It may have very well been your rose. You know, even though you were praying for reconciliation, the divorce, as bad as it may be, may have been the best thing for your life at the moment. There’s a quote from the movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman that I hold to when I think that maybe my prayer hasn’t been answered or at least not in the right way according to my mind. I think it goes something like this “Sometimes God himself is trying to tear away the things we try to hold on to so desperately”. Not sure if that’s the exact words but its something like that.

The rose doesn’t mean you’re going to get what you prayed for, but rather, St. Theresa prayed to God for you.

Whatever the answer was, it was the best for you in the long run.

Always trust in God.

Also, when it comes to praying for successful relationships, keep in mind that God isn’t going to take away the free-will of the persons involved. Your free-will is just as precious as the other person’s.

Woo hoo!!!

She is my favorite saint.

littleflower.org is a great website and you can send Mass intentions for people and the nuns will pray for you, etc.

I have recieved roses (real and also pictures of them in unusual places) after asking for her intercession…

Its a great website. That’s actually where I got my card with the novena on it. Also, they have daily reflections and quotes by St. Therese and from the daily Mass readings.

yes this is what i remembered from the discussion and i believed in it… i have been having this urge to pray to her but have been resisting it as i am all worn out with the novenas…

am doing a 54 day novena right now for Mother mary and it is awesome… gives me so much peace!!!

I’ve received sooooooo many roses from her (AND IN EXACT NUMBERS OF MY REQUESTS TO BOOT!!) that I can’t even tell you. She is just such an AWESOME saint of God.

I am jealous 😉 I only smelled my room full of roses when I was sleeping - I was wondering if it was just a dream or actually it was real but I was just sleeping. 🙂

I had never had a dream in which I could sense any smell until the night full of rose’s scent.

I want to post this to give my thanks publicly to St. Therese.
For the first time I said my Little Flower Novena for two specific intentions and finished mid week last week. I received 6 red roses last Friday. One of my prayer petition started to happen this week.

Of course, I have prayed for those intentions with Rosary and other prayers. But, by all means, my prayer of the Little Flower Novena and the confirmation of the red roses are very exciting. I give my thanks million times to God Father, Lord Jesus, dear Holy Spirit and dear Holy Mother of God. I also want give special thanks to St. Therese.

I am sure the other intention I have been praying for is happening also. But that one has to be determined by the end of this June.
