My student renounced christianity

She posted it on Facebook that she is renouncing the Christian faith. I am concerned that this is the sin unto death and that praying for her isn’t going to help. I’m not sure what to do and wanted to ask for prayer regardless
 
There is a possibility that she will come back. Remember the prodigal son?

I pray that the Lord brings this person back to the faith. Amen.

Can anyone promise you that she’ll come around before the end of her life? No, but for as long as she’s alive, she has time and opportunity.

Only because I’ve been in her shoes, I want to offer you some pragmatic advice: focus close to 100% of your energy on this problem into praying on it (and I’ll pray for her, too). You cannot and will not argue her back, or guilt her back, or pressure her back (not at all saying that you are!!!) and even if you did? There is no religion without freedom of religion. Anybody in a church for any reason other than they want to be there…it doesn’t work that way, it can’t work that way.

Keep communication open with her. Respect her God-given freedom to choose for herself, and to change her mind. And leave ALL of the rest to God. 🙂

It does not matter what sin has been committed, we all have until our dying breath to repent and be saved.
