Today is the day that I thank God completely for His mercy and the answering of our prayer. Three years ago my wife and I moved to Florida, but we still had a home in Pennsylvania that needed to be sold. We had it on the market for the 2 years before we moved and then the last 3 years with no takers. We placed it all on the Lord and went about our lives, praying now and again - all to no avail.
About 3 months ago the Deacon gave a homily on prayer and asking God’s help and he said that prayer needed to be constant, that we would have to bother God to no end, praying morning, noon, and night. We looked at each other and said okay let’s do it as we needed to get this house sold.
So we were unceasing in our prayer and like not 3 weeks later a lady showed up out of nowhere and placed an offer on the house. After we responded with a counter offer she agreed to the price and we had a deal. The very next day we had some serious problems with the water main pipe bursting and another minor issue, yet that was no problem for her and she still wanted to buy the house.
Well anyway, the sale closed today and we can now get on with our lives. So in the end the Deacon was right, God will answer your prayer and in an affirmative way if that is what is best for you. Prayer works, and I will attest to that! So again, thank you Lord for having mercy on us and making this good thing happen.
