Overwhelmed? Huh? Incorruptables…am I suppose to know what that is?

Hi Lisa4Catholics! Yes, I’ll admit I’m pretty overwhelmed with what you said and much, much more! In fact, I’m sooo overwhelmed with it all that I’m ALMOST to the point of disbelieving…I know, that’s pretty bad. But I DESIRE to believe and wonder why I can’t believe when I know it’s possible that it’s true, know what I mean?
How hard it is indeed. When I first began to learn about my Catholic faith I was so overwhelmed and so desired to learn everything that I jumped from one topic to the next and found myself overwhelmed and somewhat confused. I have found that if I pick a particular topic and stick with it for a little while that I learn it better and deeper. Maybe try taking something in particular and researching that for some time. If I might throw in my 2 cents, I would say start with the Eucharist. We’re in the midst of the year of the Eucharist and the Pope has come out with an Encyclical regarding it and there are TONS of books about it. Plus, the Catechism says the Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life. No better place to start than the summit.
I personally know of this lady and met her a few times, don’t know if she is genuine, thats for the Church to decide, and she is still under investigation.
These Holy people ask to suffer and unite their suffering with Christ for good. God only give us what we can handle.God Bless

The extent of suffering is Gods call not ours,the abandonment of the will of the saints to God is extra ordinary.They have emptied themselves to such an extent that they can endure such a phenomenon.God allows it and stregthens them enough to bear it.There is not just visible stigmata but also invisible stigmata.God work within people on different levels because spiritually we are at different levels.God Bless
So would invisible be the pains without the visible wounds? Like the saints would feel as if the passion was there but no one can see it, just feel it, right?
Correct.Padre Pio’s was taken visibly away for two years and returned for the rest of his life.On his death bed it went away including the scars.He was studied by doctors,they couldn’t figure it out
One of them said it was because he looked at the crucifix too much.Padre Pio told the doctor to go and stare at a bull and see if he grows horns
I wonder if he tried it?God BlessIt could happen to anyone who gives themselves so completely over to God that they are united in the Passion, yes. It doesn’t just happen to anyone walking down the street, however. Theoretically speaking, anyone with enough grace and dedication could receive the Stigmata, but it’s not something that can be aimed for specifically.So it COULD happen to anyone even in this forum…or something like that!
Also, I don’t think that it is something that anyone aims for. When people aim to open themselves to God, and meditate on the passion, that is when this happens. This doesn’t happen to most who contemplate the passion, and those who do have it would rather it go away, but they don’t lose faith.
It’s amazing how when you read something painful, you can start to feel pain yourself.
