This 2001 translation of the psalms, published by the Catholic Book Publishing company, is really wonderful. It does not have inclusive language, it does not have goofy wording; in sum, it seems just right as a blend of good translation, readability, reverence from a Catholic perspective, large explanatory footnotes, etc… I wish that the translators of this fine edition would translate the entire Bible. Does anyone have more knowledge about this translation and edition? As an example, I can’t ask for more than this from the 23rd psalm:
The Lord is My shepherd;
there is nothing I shall lack.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me to tranquil streams.
The Lord is My shepherd;
there is nothing I shall lack.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me to tranquil streams.
