that someone can turn to that is a positive place to share, joke, play …the Catholic faith without someone trying to make it into a major upheaval negative talk zone about politics, etc.

Sites that contain controversy and bickering are generally more active and interesting.

That’s how you think. My wife thinks otherwise. She’s a Protestant converted to Catholicism…and doesn’t understand Catholic culture in that we hash out pro-life rhetoric to the grave. She’s never obtained an abortion, doesn’t approve of it and doesn’t get why Catholics carry on so much to the point of twisting truth in her views about politicians. She’s a hot headed Irish woman…never a dull moment. But a little dull would be most welcome sometimes.

Joke? I get a chuckle from the Apostle Nathanael in John 1:46, 🙂

When you visit formus or message boards, stay only in the “rooms” that are designated for fun discussion. Do not go in the rooms that are for debate or serious discussion.

You might try the forums at Life Teen or Phatmass

I don’t think your wife understand Catholicism very well. If she did, she’d stop droning on about all this “fun” nonsense and get back to feeling guilty about something.

I’m a Protestant-turned-Catholic… and a bit Irish, come to that… and really appreciate the humor shown by the author.

👍 amen.

Catholic Answers. A couple of the forums are designated for that sort of thing. Like all places, it some will still try things. The only sure way to block all uncharitable activity is to start on one’s own computer and post to oneself.
