Hey!!!

This could be a cool trivia game. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to contribute much I’m afraid. But I do want to get the name of a recently canonized saint that someone :tiphat:gave me a few clues about, but she couldn’t remember his name.

Here’s Clue #1:

He was a “good looking young Italian guy”

Clue #2 will come, hmmmm, tomorrow?

No disrespect is intended by this to any saint, any person, or sainthood in general, I’m sure you all know that, etc. and other related disclaimers*.

Did you want us to answer or wait till tomorrow?
Oh, by all means, if you think you know the answer, take a shot!!

I just will wait and put clue #2 up tomorrow, if necessary.

I think it would be proper for me to email the lady that told me about the saint in question, to see if the answer given is correct, is the saint she’s trying to remember. Or who knows, she may come across this thread.

Verbum Caro:
Hmmmm.

How about Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati??

Man of the Beatitudes, pray for us!
Well, I can only grant an “unofficial” YES to you , Caro, however, considering that the next 2 clues are:

Clue #2 He was a mountain climber

Clue #3 He smoked a pipe

it sure looks like the Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati it is!
Maybe not canonized yet, any updates on this??

A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view (from the top of the mountain, and in heaven too!!!)

Ok, well, presuming my mystery saint/blessed has been identified, somebody else pipe in!!

Can anyone recommend any links or reading for this Mr. Frassati? I’ll google, but that’s about all I know to do!!

Dang! I thought you were talking about me till I read the other clues. Of course I’m not Italian:D.

OH! OH! Can I play?
This one shouldn’t be too hard:)
Clue 1: First patron saint of the Americas
Clue 2: Her official first name was actually Isabel, after her grandmother, but her mother changed it after one of the servents in the household said that the child reminded her of the flower of her namesake
