I was trying to look up the name of a particular saint, but a Google search did not help me. She was an Italian teenager around the turn of the 20th century. Her neighbor was an older boy who made passes at her and this scared her, but she didn’t say anything to an adult because she didn’t want to embarrass this boy. One day she was alone at her house and the boy came over and forced himself on her, but she struggled and didn’t allow him to rape her. He stabbed her to death, and was arrested. One night in jail he had a vision of this young woman collecting flowers, and this caused him to convert and ask the parents for forgiveness.

another terrific teenage saint dominic savior. he was a student of st. john bosco (I think). these are fine examples for the young to demonstrate that holiness does not discriminate based on age. if I recall correctly, st. dominic was not a martyr.
