Congratulations to everyone who went to see Narnia on opening weekend, and/or urged others to go see it. Narnia took in an estimated $67 million dollars this weekend (final numbers due out tomorrow). That’s 5-and-a-half times :thumbsup:the total of the number 2 movie, “Syriana”!!! Narnia also took in more money this weekend than did the numbers 2 through 12 movies combined!:clapping: This is a thorough thrashing, no matter how you look at it.

Now the question becomes what kind of staying power the film will have. A total of $200 million should be a reachable goal. Go see it again. Or, at least, buy tickets again! 😃

EXCELLENT!!! My oldest son and I saw the film on Saturday and speculated how long the film would take to hit 100 million (which is what it cost to make). I guessed that it would hit the 100 million mark within 10 days.

The Catholic school where four of my children attend, took the entire 5th through 8th grades to see the film.

In the world of Hollywood, $$$ talks. A 200 million (or more) box office will hopefully ensure more Narnia films.

Blessings,

I heard on the radio that this is the best December opening in quite some time!
What’s it gonna take Hollywood to sit up and take notice that we have the $$$ and spend it if the product is right.
