Hello, this question is for the members who already saw the Narnia movie. I’m a bit of a rat phobic. I remember there’s a part in the book where mice are chewing away the ropes from Aslan. Is that scene in the movie? Are the many mice? Is there like “mice” noises?

I know it may seem ridiculous, but at least I have to prepare myself for it. When I was a kid our apartment building was connected to a restuarant building. So I saw many rats and cockroaches. So that’s where my phobia comes from.

:yup: It was included. There were a number of mice and were not talking mice. It was not that bad though.

It’s been a long while since I read the stories. However, as I recall, there were no talking mice at that time. The mice were given speech as a reward for this service .

There are mice, and mice noises. There aren’t many mice… but then again, how many were really needed?

Great movie though… you should go and see it even though it has mice.

God bless,

I’d go so far as to say that they used really cute mice too…

LOL that made me laugh. I know the mice didn’t talk in the book, but I hate mice “noises”. I got shivers once when I went to a haunted house and they played rat “noises”. I knew it was only tape, but it still creeped me out. Well, I guess I’ll close my eyes if it’s too much. Heck I might even cover my ears a bit. Thanks everyone. Wish they maybe could have cut that from the movie, lol.

I have also always had a fear of mice & rats…But I live alone in an old house, & my cat can’t kill them all (& even when she does, I get to:eek: get rid of them…
After crying & praying & fussing every time, I finally went online & did some rersearch: St Gertrude of Nivelles is the patron of “cats & those who love them”, & she is also patron against rats & mice, and against the fear of them…
I will probably never get over the “eww, yucky” feeling when I dispose of a dead one, but I no longer have a horror of them since I asked her to help me with it.
Try her; she is 👍 amazing!!
God bless.

I’m also freaked out by mice…but I did not think the ones in Narnia were too bad. The sceen is very breif and they actually are “great helpers”. Don’t let this stop you from seeing the movie…It’s awesome!

If you don’t like mice or rats how are you ever going to see the next two movies? Especially Dawn treader with Reepicheep??

Oh no! “The Lion…wardrobe” and “Magician’s Nephew” are the only books I completely read. I read snippets of some others. I probably have to skip those movies 😦

But Reepicheep is my favorite character from all the books . . .
Cyrano de Bergerac with fur.
