Did anyone else’s parish participate in this? For those who don’t know, it was a 4 hour period of adoration from 9 pm to 1 am. It was to coincide with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception; a time to pray for all life issues, like abortion, fetal stem cell research, that kind of thing. This was my parish’s first year to participate and it went over fabulously. We’ve got a lot of older retired people and we weren’t sure anyone would show up late at night (plus the weather was terrible), but our turnout was great.

Anyone else do this?

My parish has participated for about the last 4-5 years. Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to attend. But, from what I understand, it goes pretty well. I mean, they keep doing it afterall. The old retired priest living at the parish even stays up until 1 AM to offer benediction.

we do this every year with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and adoration until midnight after evening Mass on Dec. 8. At various churches in the diocese there is all-night adoration.

We have done it at our parish for at least the last two years. This year there were about twenty people. Unfortunately i had to leave after only two hours, but it was really a great experience. I’m glad there is a lot of support for life in my community.
