Some people here seem to confuse “the laws of nature” from the empirical sciences with Natural Law as the Church and ethics uses the term.
Simply put Natural Law is the objective truths that are derived from the basic proposition that all actions must be directed toward the good. It is not a gathering of data from the natural world to determine how things ought to be based on the natural world. The items put forth through Natural Law are arrived at through the use of deductive reasoning and not inductive reasoning.
