I have been having a private correspondence with another member of the board regarding the Navarre study Bible. Does anyone here own or anyone have taken a serious look inside the compact version? I have one of the volumes of the full version, which I like a lot. What I (we) would like to know is how much shorter the commentary is in the compact version than that of the full version. Thanks!

My first post!

I have the four Gospels from the Full version.

I also have the New Testament Compact Edition.

Differences…

The full versions have the Latin, the compact does not.

The full versions have more in depth/extensive commentary/notes, the compact is much more brief.

The compact versions utilizes the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the full versions do not (at least the gospels).

I bought the compact version for 39.99 It was a great deal. I love the Navarre Bible. I am hoping and waiting for the entire Navarre Bible to be produced in a single volume (compact size of course). It would be a true Catholic Study Bible. I have searched and tried soooo many “Catholic” Study Bibles. The Navarre is hands down the absolute best.
