I’d think that she had best not die suddenly soon. Her Judgment might not go so well for her.

I just wonder if they would find her act acceptable if she had large reproductions of some of the cartoons of Mohammed that sparked violence around the muslim world in the background. Actually, I don’t really wonder. I know what they would, or more specifically wouldn’t, do.

Peace

Tim

Can you imagine how sad and empty a person must be to think this is acceptable behaviour? This is not an adolescent we are talking about but an older woman. A much, much older woman and mother. One would expect a person to grow out of such things.
I pray that either the network or the performer receive the grace to come to their senses and stop this blasphemy.

It’s easy to offend the sensibilities of people who have been called by God to forgive. No challenge there. If she really wants to step up to the plate, do the Islamic equivalent of cross desecration and see how that goes… (Wonder what Salman is up to these days?)

Madonna is a coward in this regard. Picking on Chistians is like shooting fish in a barrel.

good point and great thinking man

NBC suit Kevin Reilly said Madonna considered the crucifixion a highlight of her show.

**“We viewed it and didn’t see it as being inappropriate,” NBC explained. **

Turns out we were getting excited about nothing! The great moral theologians at NBC assure us we should not be offended.

Isnt there a link to NBC that we could send complaints to?
I know that the AFA (American Family Association) sent out an email about it {although I haven’t read it yet}. www.afa.net

Also you may want to check out www.onemillionmoms.com (replace moms with dads if you’re a guy) too. I don’t know how they work together but I think they do.

I’m sure Madonna & NBC both love each and every one here for all the publicity. If you have already seen enough to know you won’t like the show, why not choose another program.

Yes, choosing another program is a possibility, but that’s not the point.

Lots of us are getting sick & tired of poor quality programming, and lots of us want to let the networks know about it. I see nothing wrong with that.

If no one says a word, then being silent will negate our “vote” so to speak. The network won’t know about other comments and therefore, they will continue to produce, um…TRASH. By letting them know that we no longer wish to see what they are producing, and we’re asking them to step-up and produce some decent, quality programming.

Is that helpful?

Well, yes and no. You can pitch a real fit at NBC for running Madonna’s show but she is, like it or not, way to big for it to do any good. I have seen pleas for a million calls to NBC but she may draw 25 million viewers. She may go way over that if you count reruns etc. I still think all you will accomplish is a boost for the publicity. I think you would be better off getting together in some kind of mail in campaign. I’m told that politicians pay a lot more attention to written communications than form letters, e-mails or faxes. Maybe corporate exec’s react the same. Maybe sending letters to your congressman and senators would also help.

The other thing is do not think that turning the channel is a waste. They dump any show that can’t get the ratings. I’ve never known anyone who was part a Nielson ratings panel but that is how they boost the advertising revenue.

Good Luck!

Couldn’t you make each episode a link to the file instead of having quicktime load for all the files on one page? It takes forever to load this way.
