NBC and the media at large does this based on their dislike of anything Christian, and their fear of anything Muslim. To be a coward and a borderline heretic, how embarassing…

Well, there you have it. More double standard treatment by NBC. Surprised? No not really. They apologize for the Danish cartoons but for the mock crucifixion? Nope.

I think it’s great that NBC isn’t airing the mock cruxifixion, but I’m a little puzzled by the title of the newsletter that says that NBC decided to ‘cancel’ the cruxifixion. I never saw any news articles that said that NBC ever intended to air the mock cruxifixion other than a blog posting by Matt Drudge that wasn’t corroborated by any established news organization. The regular news organizations said that NBC was deliberating what parts of the concert would be appropriate for tv and which wouldn’t. It would actually seem odd to me for a network like NBC to make a statement about something they decided ‘not’ to air. Doesn’t not airing it make a statement about how NBC feels about it?

This morning, on a local morning show, one of the commentators said to stay tuned for “more on the madonna crucifixion”.
The other news person must have thought her mic was off because off camera you heard, “That is so wrong!”
This person talks on air about her family and church.
I’m going to stay tuned to see if she still has a job on Monday.

There are a couple of good organizations that can help you keep plugged into thing like this is. One, of course, is the Catholic League (www.catholicleague.org) and another is the American Family Association, which helps to coordinate the activity of many Christian organizations, including a couple of Catholic ones. They are never anti-Cathoilic. They even send “email alerts” on important issues like this or the Ford Motor Company’s sponsoship of the “Gay Games” and their public embrace of, in their own words, the homosexual agenda. Check them out at www.afa.net

I heard Teresa Tomeo announce the cancellation this morning,
and like her I am very happy about that. I also agree with her
that it would be even better to cancel the whole show!

Thank God for Bill Donahue and the Catholic League - we need groups like this to counterbalance the influence of the secular progressives in our society.
