Hello! I have just recently received a new Bible and it is the New Century Version. I was always familiar with the New American Bible being recognized by the Catholic Church. Is there really a difference? I’ve seen so many different versions of the Bible out there and I was just curious. Thanks in advance for your replies!!

I don’t know much about the translation, but I do know it isn’t a Catholic translation, and is missing 7 books of the Old Testament most Protestants call the Apocrypha.
