What might you do if you were dealing with a sexual addiction, but your significant other never encouraged you to stop the behavior? And if your partner sometimes allowed the behavior if you initiated?

Remind myself I am responsible for my own behavior when it comes to relationships and someone with a sexual addiction should not be with someone who allows unchaste behavior. It might seem if I read this right you are "blaming " the problem on your SO for they have not encouraged you to stop and even allowed the behavior.

I would seek counseling if this was an issue as well with as not putting myself in situations where near occasions of sin could even happen.

I understand that the term “partner” has a wide meaning. This a Catholic board and as an old lady, I am going to answer as if you said “my spouse”.

Our spouses help us get to heaven. As long as sexual acts between validly married people respect the dignity of the other spouse and are ordered toward procreation there is no sin. If the married couple wishes to have sex many times every day, see the two conditions above.

Now, if the act is done in a disordered manner or violates the dignity of the other, then, time for some prayer and fasting.
