Nearest Catholic Church in Miami at Brickell Ave

Hi,

I am visiting from Singapore and will be in Miami for a month. Appreciate those who know Miami to tell me what is the nearest Catholic Church on Brickell Ave, Miami FL. I have been to St Jude’s a Melkite Church. If this is the nearest Catholic church, does anyone have more information about this church?

The Melkite Catholic Church has been Catholic affiliated with the Holy Father since 1724: before that we were Orthodox. The priests at St Jude are Fr Gabriel, the pastor and Fr. Eugene the asst. both are great priests and easy to approach.

They use the Byzantine Liturgy for Mass and it is a bit longer but you should enjoy it. There is always something to learn.

Let me highly second Abouna Andre’s comments. Father Eugene (he’s the one with no hair ) is a good friend and a wonderful priest. Father Gabriel, altho I don’t know him as well, is also highly regarded.

Thanks for the heads-up (no pun intended), but I have attended the Sunday service and went there today at noon. I must say, is kinda different from the usual Latin Rite Mass, and it is an experience. But since this is the only one that is within walking distance, I guess I would have to learn to understand the structure. But it has been great otherwise. Probably met Fr Eugene (if he is the one with no hair : 0 ))
