Necessity of the Sacrament of Baptism to be Saved

The Baptism of Blood and the Baptism of Desire have been taught, continue to be taught and will always be taught in the Catholic Church. Father Feeney and his Feeneyite followers are the aberration. (I mean that IS why Father Feeney was excommunicated from the Catholic Church – right?)

If had read the above links to Canon Lawyer Peter VedeLink Here you would have read that his case was problematic if he was really even excommunicated since his rights under canon law were violated and the excommunication wasn’t for heresy either.

Feeney was asked to go to Rome . He asked “For what reason?” Which under Canon Law he had a right to know. No reason was given and he didn’t go, so they said he was excommunicated for not coming to Rome. Link:Feeney Fact Sheet So if you think he was excommunicated for heresy you have not investigated it very much.

Besides Feeney was accepted back so it is a moot point and he never changed his position.

Your poll is therefore deficient, in that it attacks a straw man. And it’s misleading, since you fail to mention your affiliation with the Feeneyites, while making a false accusation against the SSPX.

First I am not affiliated with the Feeneyites. I hold a strict position but not exactly Feeney’s position. But I am closer to Feeney’s than SSPX. SSPX aren’t even in full communion with the Church as far as I know even though they are not excommunicated anymore there has been no reunion.
If someone finds it is misleading she can ask for a clarification like you and then it won’t be misunderstood. Misleading was not my intention at all.

A more accurate and honest poll would be one that pitted Father Feeney and the Feeneyites against the teaching of the Catholic Church.

If you bothed to read any of the posts above dealing with 3 APPROVED RELIGIOUS ORDERS THAT HOLD THE STRICT (FEENEY) POSITION worcesterdiocese.org/vicar/ReligiousCommunities/tabid/478/Default.aspx Worcester Diocese. Please see LINK; post 8 You would know that the Feeney position is acceptable.

What the Church does not condemn neither should you.

Suggested wording: “Do you believe, as the Catholic Church believes that the Baptism of Blood and the Baptism of Desire, as defined by the Catholic Church, are sufficient for Salvation, or do you side with Father Feeney who said they weren’t sufficient?”

Well I’m sorry you feel this way but there are two accepted positions in the Church strict and loose there are even variables with in these two groups but those are the two camps in general.
Please read my posts and links to understand there are now two accepted positions in the Church, before you make wild accusations.
