Need advice + prayers: feeling like I've plateaued in life

Hello all,

I could use some prayers/advice. The past year or two I’ve really felt like I’ve hit a wall in my life cycle. I have a great job that I love, a loving family and friends and no real reason to complain. But I feel like I’m waiting for the next chapter of my life to unfold and it’s really hard to deal with patience in the waiting. I am doing what I can to move my life forward (I have a desire to get married and have a family) but things aren’t really budging and it makes me concerned for my future. I’m having a hard time defining the line between giving everything to God and also trying to do what I can to open doors for myself (I don’t believe God is a genie and will give us everything we pray for without us playing our part as well).

I have to second Cajun’s advice. I know I’ve certainly been given clarity spending time at Adoration. Don’t expect instant results. Sometimes, we need an accumulation of time to see things clearly.
