My faith isn’t what it should be. I realize it is because I just can’t seem to trust in Jesus like a Catholic should…

I am afraid my whole life is going to be the sad, lonely existance that it has always been that’ll never find love or friends. Well I have friends but we dont get to see each other much and the only time I hear from my Catholic friends lately is if I miss Mass or I am asking them to take me to Mass which of course means no talies and they tend to be rather silent and introverted long after Mass (contemplative types).

I tend to be stuck at home as everyone here knows and so far out in the country I might as well be a hermit. I rarely can go into town or see any human beings beyound my immediant family.

I just get so scared this is all that I’ll ever know and I can’t bring myself to trust that Jesus will make things better the closer I get to him.

In fact I’m scared senseless to get close to God after listening to Catholic stuff like St. Michaels Media’s One True Faith. Where they teach the closer you get to God the WORSE your life will get. (At least that’s the impression I get).

Join the military and get the heck out of there. You’re way too young be thinking like this. Get up and go.:extrahappy:

You need to talk to a priest or minister. God hasn’t left you but you just need to find a way to know that fact for yourself. You said that you live out in the country. If there isn’t a Catholic Church nearby perhaps there is another Christian Church near you where you could at least get yourself to the point where you can feel God’s presence. I do hope you find someone who can help you on your journey. In the meantime, pick up your Bible and read and study it. Good luck and remember, you really aren’t alone.

Well as I said in the OP I do attend Mass whenever I am able. The churches closest to me are very anti-Catholic and whenever I am around there members attempt to convert me, they very RARELY have the spine to admit that’s what there trying to do however… Bloody cowards…

your an imposter writing about my life lol. thats the situation im in and have been in for awhile. i believe you want to live up to the word of god. he excepts us all as individuals and realizes some can handle more on their plate then others. he takes in regard we arent one of rightious means. i know i have high expectations in pleasing god im assuming you might as well, meet half way with him he will lift you up when you are down or tired.
