I’m going to catch a plane tomorrow and need suggestions for books I can get on kindle to occupy me.
I’ll take all suggestions for this " airplane book": easy to read, engaging story, will pass the time.
I’ve never read any of Andrew Greeley’s fiction…anyone got a fave?
Thanks in advance.

Greeley’s White Smoke, about the election of a new pope, is very good. This book also features a marital reconciliation. I haven’t read any of his other books.

If you like suspense page-turners, Frank Peretti’s This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness are great descriptions of Christians using spiritual warfare.

Janette Oke writes wonderful Christian novels set in a variety of periods. I recommend the Love Comes Softly series set in pioneer days in the US, and the Seasons of the Heart series set before and during the Great Depression in Canada.

Dorothy Gilman writes the Mrs. Pollifax mysteries and they are fun fast reads. Although not specifically Christian, I haven’t found anything offensive in them.

I’ve read those Love comes Softly books. They are nice.
Thanks, I’m off to Amazon…

Beverly Lewis is also a wonderful Christian author. Wanda E. Brunstetter is also a good author.

Check out Christianbook.com

They specialize in christian books and I know they also have a wonderful ebook selection.

Keeping in the same vein as the suggestions offered above, how about The Apothecary’s Daughter, by Julie Klassen (set in the 19th century)? Or A Woman’s Place by Lynn Austin (set in WWII)?

Whoohoo! She’s cooking with gas now!
I just bought a Lynn Austin book.
Now I am looking forward to the plane.

Whatever else you think of it, you’ll have to say it’s different. 😃
