Yep, that’s exactly it.

RMU does not have access to Mass to the sacraments right now, but he’s hanging in there and like I said, doing quite well. One thing is sure, he is learning a ton about the Bible and learning to spend his time reading it, while also learning to read what is there, and not what the program folks tell him is there. (Welcome to private interpretations 101 ) Plus he’s learning the value of his personal prayer life, which is a very important aspect of his Catholic faith that will help him be the best Catholic he can be far beyond this program and time in his life.

May God’s will be done.

Studying with Evangelicals is what eventually brought me back fully to the Catholic Church. God can use it for good. I will pray for RMU.

Remember buddy, this is just the beginning for you. You will exit that program as the strongest Catholic you have ever been, but nothing compared to what Our Blessed Lord can make of you over the course of the rest of your life.

We prodigals always need to remember Luke 15. Our Father is watching for us and sees us coming at a great distance and rushes to embrace and restore us in all the ways we do not deserve and cannot even imagine.
