Need help and information

Hello i’m soon needing to pick a Saint for my Patron. And i dont know how to choose one really. I have to pick one before the week is out so the help and information about how to pick would really help me out here. How do i like pick one that i want really? I’m going to be starting my confirmation soon so they told me i need to choose one. 😃 so I’m happy to do this but i’m really stuck on which one i should get and how i pick one as there are so many Saints.
 
Is there any particular saint with whom you identify? What would you like to be and do with your life? Perhaps finding the patron saint of that occupation or lifestyle might be helpful. Having said all that, I have come to see that the saints have a way of choosing us. Pray about it and I’m sure one or more of them will be revealed to you before you are confirmed. 😉
 
Well in my Life i plan to Be a Network Admin or System Admin basiclly work with computers witha Master Degree in Telecommuntions :D. I dont know what you mean by identify? As i said lol i trly dont know how to pick one as much that like me or something. Someone told me that aot of people pick there Saints from there names But my Name is Marcos and i have not seen a Saint by that name so i dont think i can do that sadly :(.

Okay! St. Isidore is the patron saint of computer occupations. And Marcos is merely Spanish for St. Mark, the disciple of St. Peter (our first pope) who wrote the Gospel of St. Mark. I hope that helps! 🙂
 
There is a large database of saints at www.catholic.org

That might be a place to start. My son is in Confirmation this year, he has chosen St. (former Padre) Pio -
 
Reading a brief summary about the life of saints will help you pick one, just try and identify their personality with yours.
Someone in RCIA class picked Saint Jude (patron saint of lost souls) because he was always loosing things.
Some of my favorite saints are:

Saint Joan of Arc
Saint Francis of Azzi
Saint Mary Magdeline
Saint Padre Pio

Thanks, yea the whole looking for in my interest or things i do lol dont know how to pick. I mit jsut go with St. Mark but i need to read a little more about him. I have to pick by Friday 😦 so im like in a rushy reading mood to find them lol.
 
Go on www.ewtn.com under audio library, select Bob & Penny Lord and listen to the whole series on Super Saints.

Yeah I’m having the same problem with finding a saint for confirmation. But it’s fun researching all of the saints and their lives. 👍
