You are taking verses out of context. Paul was addressing others who were saved, were in the process of being saved and hoped to be saved.

As for continued sin in his own life- Paul said- the things I don’t want to do, I do. He never said, I am lost because I do the things I don’t want to do. Romans 7:14-25

Nolepaul- Jesus didn’t come so that we would have to live in fear wondering if we have done enough to save ourselves. He didn’t suffer so that when we die we have to go someplace else first and be punished for our sins- he already paid the price.

Once baptised we are indeed saved? However there is a little problem, free will. God’s grace and salvation never changes for us. However we can choose break the promise we made at our baptism, we do so with sin. When we sin we beomce the seed of the sepent. (Gen 3:15) and are no longer enimies of the evil one. god’s saving grace has not changed, but our choice to recieve it has when we commit sin, particularly mortal sin. that is why we go to confession, so that we can have recieve the grace of God and renew our baptismal promise of rejecting Satan. so now the question is why do we have to go to confession, why not god direclty? the reqason for this is that sin is also communial as well as our baptsim. The priest is a means of christ bringing the lost sheep back to the flock.

In short God’s love and salvation never changes it is us who change and reject god’s love when we choose to do so with mortal sin.

MT 23;13 “he who perserveres to the end shall be saved.”

That seems pretty clear to me. In order to be saved we need to perservereas well as all the other stuff (like being baptised)

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim 4:7)

If Paul was already saved when he was baptised in the begining of his ministry why is only now he admits that he finshed the race.

Heck, what is the point of even running the race if you are already finshed before you began because you are saved?

The finsih line is always present in our lives, whether we choose to run to the finish line of paradise is up to us.

NB; The only way we can run this race though through the grace of God. Salvation is not something we earn but it is freely give to us, whether we perseervere in aprreciating this gift is up to us
