Need new filtering software

I need some new filtering software. Preferably free, can’t be circumvented and can be remotely installed and the password set by someone else. K-9 is good and all, but it’s overzealous in it’s content filtering which blocked out some good Catholic Tumble blogs (that I had to circumvent to view. AAARGH!)
I need something that someone else can set a password for without being in the same room and additionally doesn’t mess the the WiFi-router.
Any ideas?

We use K9. You can whitelist certain websites to always permit them.

This costs money, but I’ve recently been intrigued by Circle by Disney. It manages every device in your home.
