My mom and dad need prayers. My dad has had several different kinds of cancer over the last 15 years, and now he is getting too weak at age of 78. Oh gosh–not to mention he has had a heart condition, and other stuff --aneurisms and other stuff as in problems with his legs due to frost-bite from being in the Korean War. I love him so dearly–yes eventhough he has been quite grouchy for the past 42 years of my life—I am 42–ha ha. I forgive him so immensely for being the way he has been–I could stand before God and say please overlook all his ways. Take him to Your Heart—he is your creation. Comfort him in his anger at life and how tough it was being a 17 year old boy going off far from home to another place where it hurt him and us.
God it is hard for him to have his youngest daughter help him. It is humbling for an ex Marine Corp Seargent to have his little girl help him put his clothing on, or feed him. I look deeply into his eyes and I communicate love to him. He sees it, I know he does, or hope he does at least, but might not even know. His mind fails him due to the many pills he takes, and due to the experimental cancer treatment he had. His mind fails him, but his love never has.
My mom is equally as phenomenal. She is the best mom ever. She suffered through his emotional, mental, and physical difficulties for many years. She has loved him since she was twelve and he was thirteen. She saw him through it all. She was beautiful to him. He bragged of her beauty. He carried her picture into the front lines. He told other guys there how beautiful she was, he said, and they wanted to see her picture. She looked like Rita Hayworth to him. They did not see it. W all laughed about it. My mom got the biggest kick out of it.
Gosh such a tribute to such good parents…a good man, and a good woman—nobody would even know, of course, since mostly we are anonymous going through ths world into the next life. I just had speak as so many others wish to speak about their phenomenal loved ones.
Please pray for them and that they they may fair well—but don’t pray for some weird miracle that defies reality. Just pray that they may walk with God. Bask in His Reality.
Yeah, and pray for my older sis, that she may see them with the same gleam in her mind’s eye—that she may love them with such intensity as that it may crush her bitterness. And pray for my bro even harder that he may walk out of himself into peace and acceptance of how final our lives are really. He is mentally ill, depends on these dear people, my parents, to help him, and he is afraid of losing them. I want him to shine with them in Heaven.
