Greetings:
I am looking for a specific quote by St. Augustine of Hippo. He says how the the Old Testament in fulfilled in the New Testament and how
they are mirrors of each other.

Please do not email me web pages that quote Augustine and others
or web sites to search for this one quote. I have tried that unsuccessfully.
Thanks

The closest reference I can find (via Catechism of the Catholic Church 129), is Questions on the Heptateuch 2,73. I don’t think this work is available online.

Augustin`s Contra Faustum Manichaeum.

BOOK XXXII.
FAUSTUS FAILS TO UNDERSTAND WHY HE SHOULD BE REQUIRED EITHER TO ACCEPT OR REJECT THE NEW TESTAMENT AS A WHOLE, WHILE THE CATHOLICS ACCEPT OR REJECT THE VARIOUS PARTS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT AT PLEASURE. AUGUSTIN DENIES THAT THE CATHOLICS TREAT THE OLD TESTAMENT ARBITRARILY, AND EXPLAINS THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS IT.

These links go to Augustin`s Contra Faustum Manichaeum.
Book XXXII is in the third link. I first read about Faustum in Augustine’s Confessions but their debates are not included. I think mostly Confessions describes Augustine’s rejection of Faustum. I don’t know if this is will be useful or not, hope not wasting your time!

To clarify my previous post:
The first two links use the word “revealed” multiple times in explanation of how the Old Testament is fulfilled in the New Testament. The second link uses the word “mirror” twice in similar context.
